Get ready for two exciting days of professional road racing! Colorado State University’s Hughes Stadium will host a weekend of high-energy bicycle racing featuring the Rist Canyon Road Race, ACA Masters State Road Racing Championship, the Juniors State Road Racing Championship and the inaugural King of Rist Canyon two-day men’s and woman’s Road Race Championship.
Think your Saturday racing experiance was great? The best is yet to come with day two of the Rist Canyon Road Race on Sunday:
The Rist Hill Climb finish! Citizen riders leave the starting line first, with the racers to follow. Then the final racing begins with all ACA categories to follow with the Pro 1-2’s finishing the 18.5 mile climb to victory for the King of Rist Canyon title. Spectators and previous rider/racers will line the canyon to watch the pro’s battle it out on the mountain. Cow bells given out, the Rist Devil will be on the mountain along with vendor tents to create rider/racer excitement as our own Tour de France unfolds in northern Colorado.
Masters State Road Championships
On Saturday, June 21, the Rist Canyon Road Race, ACA Masters State Road Championship will feature the best road racers from around Colorado and beyond. Competing handlebar to handlebar through some of the most rugged passes in the Rockies, with 62.72 miles and over 7,000 feet of climbing.
Tour of Colorado Points
The weekend of FCCF racing is part of the newly formed Tour of Colorado series points. About TOC: For 2008 the Tour of Colorado will be a series of seven existing Colorado races. And, for the first time ever, some races will be permitted with USA Cycling and some with the American cycling Association. Several feature State Championship races.

ACA JR’s State Road Championships
On Sunday, June 22, the Rist Canyon Road Race JR’s State Road Racing Championship will showcase many of the sport’s rising stars tackle the challenging Fort Collins circuit course across the Horsetooth dams. This a part of Tom Danielson Cycling Events JR’s Series, in partnership with the Junior National Cycling Association.

Don’t miss the action as one racer will be crowned King of Rist Canyon Champion.
A Combined lowest time of both race days will determine the champion.
Racers will combat Rist Canyon twice in two days as part of an 80+ mile and combined 11,000 feet of climbing action, “Two Days Two Challenges One King.” Both days count in these ACA points categories: BAR/BAT Rocky Mountain Cup & Masters Road Racing Championships. Trophy, prize money, prizes, special T-shirt and two days of food await.
